Every beach in Andalucía

Andalucía has two seas and about 900 km of coast. The Atlantic side (Huelva, Cádiz) is wide, windy and cool; the Mediterranean side (Málaga, Granada, Almería) is warmer, narrower and far busier. These are all 503 beaches in the regional government's official catalogue, on one map.

Naturist beaches

20 beaches where OpenStreetMap records naturist bathing as allowed or customary. Spain has no law against nudity on beaches; these are simply the ones where it is the norm.

How to read this

The catalogue counts a beach as the stretch between two named points, so a single long strand can appear as three or four entries where the town has given each section its own name. Lengths and widths are the government's own measurements. They are good enough to tell a cove from a strand, not to plan where to put a towel.

A Blue Flag is an annual award for water quality, safety and services, granted each spring for the summer season. It is not a daily condition flag: the green, yellow and red flags on the lifeguard post are decided on the morning, and no open data source publishes them.

Surface type (sand, pebbles, gravel), whether a beach is urban or natural, and what is within a short walk — toilets, showers, bars, parking, a bus stop, a lifeguard post — come from OpenStreetMap, which volunteers keep. It currently has detail for 441 of the 503 beaches and a surface type for 247. Where a beach page says nothing is mapped, treat it as unknown rather than absent.
