Fiesta

Feria de la Manzanilla, Sanlúcar de Barrameda

A fair named after the wine, in the town at the mouth of the Guadalquivir where they make it.

Dates
Expected late May or early June 2027

Manzanilla is sherry aged in Sanlúcar, where the sea air gives it a salinity you do not get in Jerez a few miles inland. The town’s feria is named after it, and drinking it in the place it comes from is most of the point.

Sanlúcar sits where the Guadalquivir meets the Atlantic, opposite Doñana. It also runs horse races on the beach in August, which is a separate and quite different event.
